I have the following two questions regarding role-based security in serviced components:
1. Could any one explain in details the difference between role-based security for serviced components and asp.net forms authentication ?
2. In asp.net forms authentication, we authenticate a user using a login page, fetch his roles from the database and create GenericPrincipal & FormsIdentity objects. If a user is not authorized to view a resource based on his role(s), he is denied access.
Thats is very stright forward.
How do we achieve the same role-based access with Serviced Components (SC). i.e. when a user is authenticated using a login page, do we have to create a GeneralPrinciple & FormsIdentity object so that users can access Serviced Components based on their roles,
kindly provide some clarification on this issue ?
Thanks in advance....
