I have been messing around with this kit because of the overall database type information it contains (Forums,Store,Blog etc). What has been puzzling me is in the
Register/UserProfile.ascx that contains the "Site Preferences", Language,Avatar,Gender,FirstName,LastName,Occupation etc etc. I have not only looked threw just
about everything trying to find where this information is being stored. I have tried a SqlDataprovider with a formview but the information isn't their this is either due to
A: Tables need to be created for that section
B:Something needs to be adjusted or turned on
I have tried an ObjectDataProvider by selecting the ProfileCommon than it will show the Gender,FirstName,Occupation etc but "No" data is listed,so that tells me
the information isn't being stored or i'm looking in the wrong place.
I have even changed out to "TBH_MembershipProviderEx" in the Web.Config but that didn't help either..lol
So can someone shed some light on this ?? Thxs in Advance..[:)]

The userProfile.ascx that contains thes properities,"site preference", "Avater" etc.. are stored in the profiledata table in the ASPNet.Mdf database,
by the default sqlprofileProvider. See the web.config file in the beerhouse, Marco creates a custom profile provider named "TBH_ProfileProfileProvider".
that performs SQL queries aginst the data stored in the ProfileData table. This is one advantage of using the customProfileprovider. The default sqlprofileprovider serializes an entire profile into a single "Blob". and store the information in a single table
column. Making it a pain to execute SQL queries aginst the properities in a profile.
Hope this helps .

I can't seem to find this table referenced here called "ProfileData". Here is a snapshot of the tables that I have for the Beer House starter kit:
I found the "TBH_ProfileProvider" in the web.config file, but I'm having trouble finding where the profile.Preferences & profile.Preferences.Newsletter settings are saved in the database. I'm trying to extract out the newsletter sections for another website
that I have. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

I found it in the aspnet_Profile table, but it's all garbled into one big field. Weird.
