Crap, after reading your full question again I noticed I oversaw something in my enthusiasm to guide you in the proper direction. You want something equivalent in a windows application and not an ASP.NET webform. Actually these forums are meant to provide
answers to ASP.NET related questions, not Winforms questions. Microsoft provides other forums on that topic. I'm not really a Winforms developer myself but you can change the cursor to the wait cursor in a button click and before the button click ends set
the cursor back to the default cursor.
