I have created a reverse proxy httphandler for IIS and have created a Web Setup project for the handler which works great for everything except for mapping the handler to the appropriate file extension. I basically need to create a mapping for extension
.* that executes the aspnet_aspi.dll.
But unfortunately when I try to add a mapping in the Web Setup Project, the project requires me to include the aspnet_isapi.dll in the virtual directory of my webapp and in addition does not allow me to add an extension of .*
I am however able to set this up in IIS manually after installing my code.
Does anyone know of anyway to accomplish this? Is there something I am missing?

I have a similar problem.
What we are trying to do is add aspnet_isapi.dll filter to the AppMappings property. However, we cannot do this because we cannot select the aspnet_isapi.dll when we attempt to add a new mapping to the Web Application Folder. In fact, i don't see a way to add
any mapping unless it is a mapping provided by ourselves and included as a file into the project.
