I was wondering, is there a software that I can design webpages for mobile devices in html that is simliar in away to visual studio 2005. What I mean is how I can select a mobile web form and a form window appears that is the size of a mobile device.
What I am thinking is a software like frontpage, when I create a new project I have an option to select if it is a mobile page and then I have a choose as to a skin to pick. That way I can drag objects on to the skin and I can see what the page would look
like. Visual studio does this but I don't want to write my code in VB, C++, C# etc, I want to write in HTML. I tried to write in HTML but I got error.
I hope I made myself clear and thank you for the help.
I am hoping that VS can do this and I am doing something wrong.

Depending on your target markup you can write XHTML Basic or Mobile Profile using the Visual Studio IDE by changing the namespace on the HTML tag. That being said if you are looking for an HTML-only editor then Visual Studio will be a bit of overkill for
the needs. I would recommend looking at Expression Web Designer as an alternate.
When it comes to rendering it is tough to get a visual representation at design time. The problem lies in that every device has a varying set of capabilities which make it difficult to predictively render the content accurately. The approach that the industry
is taking is to provide a set of emulators to allow you to visualize the content after you have created the page.
Here are a few of the notable emulators:
There are also a number of other emulators to note:
