hey all, i have been developing asp 3.0 projects for my university and now the organization where i currently work, and i also have quite good understand and skill for making ASP projects. and now i am nowadays switching to ASP.net 1.1 through VB.NET .....
I have basically 2 questions.
1) I havent programmed in visual basic ever. now some people are saying that existing skills of visual basic are required to switch to asp.net .. is this true?? do i have to first learn visual basic ... and THEN learn ASP.NET (VB.NET) ??
2) Secondly, the organization where i work, C drive is not accessible to any users. So whenever i try to create a project here, it gives me an error: "Visual Studio .NET cannot create or open the application because the user account is not a member of the
VS Developers group on the web server computer". Do i have to plead them to give me access to the C Drive for ASP.NET, or is there a solution to this problem??
Thanks .. waiting for reply !!

it easier to work on both client and server side code (for me, anyway).
2) If you're doing 1.1 development, the Web application is usually created in your IIS root which is typically on the C drive. So, the easiest answer (to give, but maybe not to get implemented) is to get rights to the C drive.
