I am brand new to ASP.Net and this is my first post here. In order to get an understanding of the file structure and how it works etc I downloaded the Classifieds Starter Kit.
It installed okay and runs on the localhost server however there appears to be no directory of files (pages) showing in the Visual Web Develpoer 2005 program anywhere. Tried to setup a user (administrator) from the ASP Net configuration within Visual Developer
but it won't let me sign up and gives the error regarding minimum password and numeral setting allowances. Can't seem to get any password configuration to work without getting the error message. Maybe someone out there has experienced this issue?

i would think examples downloaded by the ASP.net would have the database in sql express file.
have you checked APP_Data folder in your VS for actual sql express file?
Also, you may need to download actual datafile (probably northwind file) before installing the example.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply Jae.
I eventually found all the files associated with this starter kit, I must have had something turned off as they didn't display at first as I expected.
Found the dadatbase folder and all its contents. Nothing was indicated at the time of downloading that associated files needed to also be downloaded also.
In the website administration tool the status was set at "online" so I turned it to offline as the program is running on the localhost server thinking this might be the trick???
Still can't register as the administrator of the site though. There must be something else needed to be set in order to get this to accept users (admin)
