Out of the blue, users sent messages are not being received by their recipents. And I'm getting a 'unable to bind to destination server in DNS' error message in the queue section of the exchange system manger on FE01.

Try to use nslookup and search for MX record for destination domain.
For more useful results – try to connect with nslookup both to
Try both queries both from your computer and from FE01 box.
Let as know about results.

When i type nslookup in the command window on FE01, I receive the follow message.
'DNS request timed out.
timeout was 2 seconds.
*** Can't find server name for address 172.16.0.2: Timed out
Default Server: UnKnown
The FrontNet IP address of FE01 (i.e. the one connected to the ISA server) is 172.16.0.2 . the default gateway is the FrontNet (internal facing address) of the ISA server 172.16.0.1 .
I can ping the ISA server on it's internal IP (172.16.0.1) but DNS doesn't seem to be working.

My colocation provider changed the IP address of their Primary DNS server, and didn't think it important to let me know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just updated the DNS settings on the ISA server. and everything is A.OK now.
Thanks for your suggestions which are always appreciated.

Could you start DNS Management on FE01, open server's properties window and run both tests on Monitoring tab?
What is the result?
