Has anyone uploaded this program to GoDaddy?
I am new to ASP... This is my first attempt at publishing an ASP website.. I have followed all of the directions given at GoDaddy and everything seems successful except Activating the site... When I run the code to Activate an ASP.NET 2.0 Personal Web Site
I do not get the expected return... otherwise I have followed all of thestepsand everythinbg seems fine
My connection string seems to be intact but I am not sure howto tellif I ammaking a connection or not... When I try to access the web site I get a blank white page with a non-specific error that says see site administrator...
Is there anyone out there willing to tell me what steps need to be taken to run the Classified Starter Kit on GoDaddy's Window Server?...
any help would be greatly appreciated

Based on your subsequent post:

Finally.... after days of playing with it and pulling my hair out when I couldn;t see the website I finally figured it out with help from Mattbug... THANKS Mattbug....
So this is what you do ...preferably in order...
When using the classified starter kit on GoDaddy.....
First you create a database by logging in and going to the control panel.. find sql database...
Click that ... then create database...
make note of user name and password created ( click DNS Enabled, Schema Installed)
after database is formed it will have a little info icon that will give you the connectionstring code for the web.config file
next edit web.config file connectionstring and then at the bottom of the web.config file there willbe placeholder code... replace it with your own code.. it will tell you what it needs.
save web.config file with rest of website...
Connect to the database by clicking the blue button that says manager,,,,,
type in username and password for that database
Click to expand tree untilyou find Query Analyzer... Find classifieds-add.sql file in App_Data folder... then paste it into Query Analyzer window and click submit
repeats steps with Classified-categories.sql ( don;t forget tore place their categories with your categories )
Disconnect from database
if you have any problems doublevcheck the web.config file
Hope this helps someone

Hi Derek M..
I'm sorry.. I have gone back to try and find them myself and I don;t seem to be able to find them now..
I can;t remember the search terms I was using the day I came across them. I have tried all of the obvious keywords....
I have a printout of the directions where I either printed them from a PDF File or I copied and pasted them into Word but they do not have a link on them.
If I can find it I will post it here... Here it is an example of installing Personal Web Site...
I will see if I can find it..
