I just wanted to know where in the web.config file that specifies the aspnetdb database connection? Where is the connection string for ASPNETDB within the application?? Thanks.

it defaults to LocalSqlServer which is in the web.config that all applications' web.configs inherit from. You can find this "master" web.config at this location: C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\CONFIG
If you want to override it, which is of course possible you go to the <connectionStrings> section and put it like

Could you help a bit more with this. I have a small classified ads starter kit already running on one site but want to develop it a bit further on a different domain. The problem seems to be the creation of the aspnetdb database which works locally but when
goes live on a website on the same server as the currently live classified ads site the aspnetdb databases clash and then the second site gets errors.
The way round this is to perhaps rename or use a different members database... after reading your post I tried this in the web.config file:
to "Membersdb" whihc I thought then linked to the aspnet1db.mdf
Could someone perhaps let me know what I can correct or do to solve this..
