I am trying to learn asp.net.
I have the source code of an already developed project with me. This project was developed in asp.net 2003.
I have VS.net 2005 installed on my system.
In the source code that was given to me I find that I have .aspx & .aspx.res files but the corresponding .vb (VB Source files) missing.
So I get error list while converting the 2003 version to 2005.
I wanted to confirm that these .vb files are neccessary.

Are the .vb files really missing? Did you view them in Windows Explorer or VS? If in VS, did you try clicking on "Show All Files" in Solution Explorer?
If the .vb files are truly missing, you won't be able to work with it, unless the code is located WITHIN the .aspx files between the <script runat="server"></script> tags. If the code is in the script tags, then you're okay.

The .vb files are realy missing.
I checked in the .aspx files too. There is no script code which runs at server (<script runat="server"></script>).
