It states, "Microsoft Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 only: ClearType rendering is supported only on Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. Therefore,
TextRenderingHintClearTypeGridFit is ignored on other operating systems even though Windows GDI+ is supported on those operating systems."
Can someone help me to understand this please?
If I use this line of code...
g.TextRenderingHint = TextRenderingHint.ClearTypeGridFit
Does this mean that a nonXP/non 2003 server, like win 2000 for ex., will ignore the statement when the code is compiled?
Does it mean regardless of server, a nonXP/non2003 client will not render the stream served to it as intended by the code?
If yes, to either, does this mean the rendering of the ouput stream will be exactly like as if I hadn't included that line of code at all?
I hope I'm clear on this - it's late! :)

What I take that to mean is that the requirement is on the server, not the client. The client should be able to access the page from whatever OS they want to. The issue is on how the server processes the rendering.
My guess is that it will act is if the statement isn't there if you are on a nonXP/03 server. But that is just my guess. It is sort of vague the way they put it.
