I'm trying to get the basic procedure working to publish a site that was precompiled with web deployment.
I've gotten to the point where I have an output folder (called localconfig) and it contains copies of all my project files (even though I asked for just one assembly) and a bin directory.
I used the suggestion (http://forums.asp.net/thread/1276237.aspx) about opening the output as a filebased website, (it opened ok), and then copying this to a website. When I try to copy website, I got
the error that it couldn't create the folder because the file name is too long. Cannot create folder 'bin/bin/bin/bin/bin/bin/bin/bin/bin/bin/bin/bin/bin/bin/bin/bin/bin/bin/bin/bin/bin/bin/bin/bin/bin/bin/bin/bin/App_Themes/rosy'. The filename or extension
is too long.
The compiled version has nested the theme in /bin directories that goes 20 deep.
Any idea how to correct this?
