I am developing a couple of simple structured pages which should be able to run on a PDA (Windows Mobile 4.2/5.0 or 2003) and on a standard browser. Works fine so far, I had to rewrite some validators for the client side, but otherwise the pages look fine.
Now as almost all of the pages require user input in TextBoxes or DropDownLists, the input focus should jump from one control to the next if "Return" is pressed. For TextBoxes that was kind of easy, for the standard IE I can capture the keydown or keypressed
event and check for the Return key, for the Pocket IE I can capture the onchange event as the input is confirmed, when the user presses return on the Pocket IE. Hooking to that event, I can jump to the next control. But I cannot figure out what to capture
for the DropDownList on the pocket IE, especially if the user does not change the value. For the standard IE it is onblur, but I did not find any event that is raised on the Pocket IE, if return is pressed. Does anybody have a solution for this?
