I am new to ASP.Net for Mobile devices and had a few basic querries. I was using a Mobile emulator to understand how standard mobile sites work and I have few questions regarding the Live Mail for Mobile via http://mobile.msn.com -> Live Mail. As far
as I have understood, the controls used do not inherently work with MobilePage. Could it be that Microsoft itself is not using ASP.Net Mobile for their mobile sites.
Another question is how do I build my entire application on XHTML standards. Even if I make the Web.config changes in my application to use Transitional XHTML, the xhtml controls fail to render on a Mobile emulator with XHTML browser. Can I use XHTML Doctype
on a MobilePage (Mobile Webform)? I understand that using the MobilePage ensures that all valid controls are rendered appropriately on devices with different limitations. But does using XHTML Transtional / Strict also ensure that I would work on all devices.
Otherwise this would just increase the testing efforts by a stupendous amount.
Any help in this direction would be appreciated. Thanx for the help in advance.
