My amazon visit for this book informed that this book was out in 2004.
It is obvious that it was written for asp.net 1.1.
I think we shoulkd avoid this book and look out for a good book by the same author with asp.net 2.0 support.
The book with ajax and asp.net 2.0 details can also be great.
I am just sharing my opinion.

Very Strange, amazon rfers this book as asp.net 2.0 version published in november 2006,
While the title does not show asp.net 2.0 anywhere.
I have never sen such thing before.

Build Your Own ASP.NET 2.0 Web Site Using C# & VB (Paperback)

not sure why amazon mixed the reviews for the old book, that's pretty silly...........but i received this book today and it is ASP.NET 2.0, the cover of the book says Build Your Own ASP.NET 2.0 Website Using C# & VB.NET

Have you noticed onething.
In the first title, they have mentioned VB.NET and in the current title they have mentioned just VB.
And plain VB changes the whole meaning. It should be VB.NET.
When they have bothered to mention C# then VB.NET is also a must.
How come such a serious proof reading error.

We are the publisher of this book. The 2nd edition has an ISBN of 0975240285. It is available at Amazon.com, bn.com, and at Barnes&Noble & Borders bookstores. You're correct in noting that Amazon.com carried over the reviews from the 1st edition to the 2nd
edition -- as you can see, the book was very well received by customers. We expect more of the same for the 2nd edition.
You can also order through our Website and download the first 4 sample chapters for free:
