Hi, I want to use a panel and drag some stuff in there and whatnot. I drag stuff in there but the positioning is flow layout. I would like the panel to be absolute.
I can use an HTML panel instead of a webform Panel and get absolute positioning but I cant set the back ground or border of that panel.
Thanks for your help,

the Web Forms Panel control uses flow layout rather than grid layout. This means you cannot drag a control to an exact position on a panel.
To position control on the panel control, use the carrriage return and spaces to position them whenever u want them to appear.

Another trick, which works better than spaces and such, is an old HTML webpages trick.
Go into Microsoft's paint application and create a 1x1 pixel-sized gif image the color of your background.
drag it into the panel and set its attributes to dictate its size. :) Works wonders for left-to-right positioning. If you put one on either side of an item and give them the same width, it gives the effect of centering whatever item in the flow positioning.
Hope this helps.
