How do we edit the items? Prices, names and etc.
First, I went to the App_data/items.xml file and started to manually edit the values.
Then this came weird to me [:S]
They should be edited in an easier way, shouldn't they?
There is Item information in the SmallCompanyDB database file as well.
I am not familiar with XML yet. Is the XML file created from the data in DB file?

You need to either edit the data direct in the XML document or in the database table. At the moment the Beta has no content management facilities, if over the next
month no update is posted I will add some basic CRM features myself and make the update available somewhere, otherwise this starter kit is a bit limited.

The same data is both in the database and in an XML file.
just wondering, if I edit the data in database, is there an easy method that produces the XML from DB file??

Currently, there is no easy way to enter data into database and then generate XML that is consumable by the application. Xml data may be generated from the database. However, the format of that xml data or in the
schema generated by the database does not match the simpler xml schema that the website expects. The xml schema consumed by the application was deliberately kept simpler for direct data entry into the xml files.

This is an excellent kit for building a company presence, BUT it is VERY limited. Though I am not asking for a full blown application, but at least, it should include funtionality to add news, delete and modify existing data.
I am thinking of begining adding such functionalities, BUT I don't want to reinvent the wheel if you guys are already going to release those when the beta is over.

Thanks Yousaid for the feedback.
We recognize that Add/Edit/Delete is a popular scenario but so far, due to a number of reasons, do not have plans to extend the Starter Kit's features. I will keep you posted if that changes - though its unlikely.
