To do this, you will need to configure IIS so that it listens on the IP address 184.108.40.206 on your site.
If you have a dedicated IP address for just the one site, simply update the headering bindings for that site in IIS and blank out the domain name. If the domain name (Host Header value) is empty, it will listen for everything for 220.127.116.11.
If you share that IP with multiple sites on the server then it gets trickier. If that is the case, you may want to change the port to port 81 or something other than 80. That will distinguish it from the other sites on the server. Again, make sure that
the host header line is blank.
Hope that helps,

Great, it sounds like good progress.
There are 3 things that differentiate sites.
The IP address, the port and the DNS name. If you have 1 IP address for your server, then you need to depend on the domain name and/or port number.
DNS is great for separating sites.
If you don't have a DNS name registered for all of them, use cnames like so: site1.your-primary-domain.com, site2.your-primary-domain.com, etc.
If you need http://126.96.36.199/site1 for some reason, then you will need to have a default site that listens on 188.8.131.52 and use something like ISAPI Rewrite (www.isapirewrite.com) to
redirect to www.site1.com based on the URL. It's a bit messy though so if you can use site1.your-primary-domain.com or http://184.108.40.206:82, that could be easier to maintain.
You can use any port that isn't already in use.
81 - 89 are great port not generally used for other purposes.
You have thousands to choose from.

I had gone through your forums, and it is really a worthful. However, can anyone, guide on how to carried out all of the above task, programmatically, in ASP .NET. In other words, i want to all the above feature in my project, can you guide me in the coding
for executing it. In my project, there is a concept, where admin will manage the list of their franchise list and there office address, host names and IP addresses. Thus, when user request for a particular host name including the sub-domains, then he/she should
be redirect to the assigned IP address, through admin. There will be a interface, whereby admin will manage add/edit/delete the hostname or ipaddress detail for a particular franchise office.
Thus, please guide me, on the DNS activity (add/edit/delete and view), through programmatically, ASP .NET
Waiting for your reply.
Thank You, in advance.
