I've noticed that the search box on the main page function doesn't work. I've double checked the original kit to make sure it's not something i've done and confirmed it doesn;t work. Not only bit that seems to work is the advanced search. Anyone know what
is wrong? Had the same problem. Which fields is it searching on when you run it?

My mistake. It would help for me to read your post completely before replying [:$]
You're right about the main page search function having a bug. Whether you click the
Search button next to the textbox or the Go button next to the dropdownlist, the search results are derived from both the contents of the textbox AND the time period that shows in the dropdownlist.

I also get an error when I try to search from the MyAds page (try clicking search a couple times). I'm pretty sure these bugs are related. There are some flaws in the code at the end of the Page_Load Sub of Search.aspx that are causing these bugs, but
I'm not sure how to fix it.

The advanced search issue has been resolved but the main search has not. I have verified this issue by using the final classified ad version without modifying it. Same issue......you enter the search criteria and click on the button....nothing....no results.
You go to advanced search and enter the exact same information and boom.....the results are there. Were you able to get any resolution on this?

I can't recreate the problem.
I downloaded a fresh copy of the Classifieds starter kit and posted an ad with "Ford Mustang" in the title and "Dodge Magnum" in the body. In the Default.aspx page, I typed in "Ford" and clicked Search and it came back with my ad as a result. However,
searching on "Dodge" does not return a result, so it must only look at the Title.

I downloaded from the Starter Kits main page: http://www.asp.net/downloads/starterkits/default.aspx?tabid=62 (bottom of the page).
