Does your web service use any third party components? If not you can do what is known as an XCOPY deployment - copy the entrire directory across as a new directory on the target server. This is the technique I have used for many clients!
Assuming the web service is called FRED, the only sophisticated item I have found useful, is on the target machine to create a D:\FRED folder and beneath it a V1 folder so the first installation is to D:\FRED\V1\FRED. Share D:\FRED\V1\FRED as the FRED web
site, within IIS manager, set the default page and browse the site. Sounds simple and it is provided you are not into complex authentication.
Normally I would look for such tutorial information at http://www.learnvisualstudio.net, however there is not one as yet.
