I am now in the process of getting my site hosted at Webhost4life (where before I used my own server)
There are all sorts of small and larger obstacles to be overwon.
One of them is the timedifference at their server (9 hours) and
formatting of dates. (mm-dd-yyyy where I need dd-mm-yyyy)
Is there an easy way to adjust for these? perhaps in the web.config or do I have to change the code in all individual aspx pages?
Thanks in advance,

All that can get cmplicated but covered very well by three SQL Server experts in the link below so your time will be location agnostic. Hope this helps.

Thank you Caddre,
Very useful information indeed.
It does not however address the timedifference.
Would it be possible to adapt the servertime to my local zone for my entire site in one go?

There is a property in FCL(framework class library) System.Globalization called DateTimeFormatInfo.InvariantInfo, use it and call DateTime.ToString to get the setting you need and in SQL Server you need the convert function code number 103. Both are covered
below. Hope this helps.
