The only way in which my webhost allows me to upload my MS SQL files is by importing a backup (*.bak) version of that file. I do not have any problems with that, except that I am using Visual Web Developer Express which creates data files with suffix .mdf
and VWDE does not offer a backup facility.
Does anyone know of a way to convert my .mdf files to .bak format so that I can use the import process that 1 and 1 offer? (I have tried simply renaming the file but that causes the import process to fail).
Failing that, can anyone suggest a webhost that allows ftp or import of the original *.mdf files created on the Development PC?
