I have worked both in J2EE and .NET platforms and I feel that ASP.NET is faster than JSP/Servlets based solutions because of the inbuilt optimizations.
You can go through the results of an independent test executed by a developer:
Though the speed issue is debatable, I would definitely say that designing an app in ASP.NET is much faster than JSP.

One can never say that in these terms. The industry itself is divided, JSP/J2EE has its advantages (first being truly free and open source) and many big projects are still being developed in JSP (with the Java technology itself maturing).
Choosing J2EE or .NET depends on many factors (e.g. time of development, cost, resource skills etc to name a few). One really cannot say that ASP.NET will become the industry standard (though ASP.NET is picking up speed fast). Basically, in a nutshell, both
ASP.NET and JSP have their pros/cons and the issue of industry standard is debatable.
