I have been and continue to work on learning .NET 2.0, and I personally have not seen any evidence that would indicate the n-tier concept is handled differently regarding what you mentioned.
The things that are really different between .NET1.x and .NET2.x are things like in 2.x you have the option of having the web pages compiled individually or as a whole like was avaialbe in .NET1.x (provided you are not using the express editions of VS.NET
because they allow only the individual page compilation mode).
So as long as you keep in mind things like that then for the purposes of learning the n-tier aspect I think you would be alright.
