Would it be possible to use the methods in this article for my existing method which inserts data into the database using classes from the Enterprise Library 2.0?
void InsertSearchTerm(string SearchTerm)
DateTime CreateDate =
Int32 ResultCount = 1;
DatabaseFactory.CreateDatabase().ExecuteNonQuery("insert_storedproc", SearchTerm, ResultCount, CreateDate);
Which method would I use? The BeginExecuteNonQuery method? If so, how do I reference my stored proc or do I not need to since the DatabaseFactory
is referencing this? I don't see how I could use BeginExecuteNonQuery when I"m already using
DatabaseFactory.CreateDatabase().ExecuteNonQuery so is this even possible? The requirement is for use to use the Enterprise Library 2.0 for data inserts so I cannot simply change my insertion code to ADO.NET. So how can I incorporate
this article's examples so that I can make an asyncrhonous call to my method or whatever then return control back to the client?
