When i ran the Blinq command,i got a message saying that "a database or databaseFile must be specified".I got this message inspite of specifying the database name(pubs) arguments.I run windows 2003,.net 2.0 and installed Linq may ctp

Hi the command i used is
C:\Program Files\Micrsoft ASP.NET\Blinq>blinq/t:c:\sample/datbase:pubs
I tried the above command with various options included like sever,user,password,vDir,Still i get the message saying
"A database or databaseFile must be specified"along with
"usage:blinq/t:<Target path>:options" and also the description of the options

You need a space before the forward slash, and "database" is spelled incorrectly.

Thank you for the lightning response .It worked fine.The problem was with spaces in the forward slash.

Everything worked fine with the sample database pubs.But when i switched to a real time database with the below command ;i got the underlying error.
C:\Program Files\Microsoft ASP.NET\Blinq>blinq /t:\C:reports /database:BUITautom
The compiler exited with code 1.
The command it executed was C:\Program Files\L

I tried running the command manually.I got a big list of compile errors which looked like this
BUITautomation.cs(5139,4): error CS0246: The type or namespace name 'Column'
could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly
BUITautomation.cs(5141,4): error CS0246: The type or namespace name 'Precision'
BUITautomation.cs(5114,2): error CS0246: The type or namespace name 'Table'

It sounds like you're missing some assemblies. Do you have System.Data.DLinq.dll and System.ComponentModel.Data.dll in your Bin directory? Blinq will drop them there. You also need a series of using statements in your BUITautomation.cs class that Blinq
automatically puts there:
