I am running HMC 3.5 and currently any email that gets sent to a secondary domain that was created via smtp proxy address within the MPSSampleCP web interface, has their email returned due to it not being unable to relay.
I traced this problem to the smtp domain event sink. The domains.dat file is being updated with the secondary smtp domain address/smtp proxy address. The file only contains primary domain addresses.
Can I manually add the smtp proxy addresses to the domains.dat file, becuase everything else looks fine, i.e. the smtp proxy addresses exist in active directory.
If anyone could shed some light on this issue it would be greatly appreciated.

Well the first thing I'd check is that the DTS package on your MPS SQL server is scheduled and executing without errors. If it is, the domains.dat file on your SQL server should have a later timestamp than the one on your SMTP servers in which case your
process for copying the file from the SQL to SMTP servers isn't running.
If the DTS package is running ok and generating the domains.dat file, and is being copied to the SMTP servers, then I'd check to see if you have a refresh interval set for the SMTP Event Sink (its a setting in the supplied reg file).

Open HeSMTPEventSinkDatGenerator DTS package in Package designer. Right click on arrow and select Properties. Verify that SQL query for Transform Data Task is
WHERE ((AssetTypeCode = 'PD') OR (AssetTypeCode = 'SD') OR (AssetTypeCode = 'CD')) AND (StatusTypeCode = 'EN')
Check SQL Agent job HeSmtpEventSinkDatGenerator history to see when it ran last time. It should be within last 10-15 minutes. Also make sure that SQL Agent service is enabled and running.
