We are having an issue provisioning in an environment with two DC’s. Fairly regularly now we get failures due to an LDAP error: object doesn’t exist on DC01.
Our preferred DC is 02 and for a while things seem to run fine against that DC but then it’s like halfway through the script it switches DC’s and throws the error.
The DC’s are under fairly heavy load and we are working on sorting this out but at the same time what we’d really like is a way to ensure provisioning runs against a single DC.
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure that's possible without source-editing and recompiling several of the MPF's DLLs. They're relying on ADSI to tell them which DC to query; you can tell ADSI to bind to a specific server, but that would have to be done in the source code, based
on what I've seen of the code so far.
This could be symptomatic of a much bigger problem, though. You may want to scour DNS to ensure both DCs are in sync, and carefully review the event logs of both as well. In our own two-DC environment, for some fathomless reason, DC02 was not running DNS
(didn't even have the service installed) after dcpromo, and all kinds of subtle problems resulted.

Thanks for your response. The issue definately stems from a problems with the DC's. I was just hoping for a way round it to in the short term.
Oh well better get back to those event logs. [;)]
