Unfortunately, I cannot use the DNN.dll straight 'off the shelf' due to bugs and necessary core mods (you can search on my username and see some of the ones that I have posted here on this forum) that are inherent in the core version. Which means that a
recompile of the core is necessary (and thus the different minor version number 13077). That being said, none of the mods have touched the user or superuser CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) functionality.
I highly doubt that this is an issue due to core mods, simply for the reason that the exact problem is appearing in disparate instances and disparate users (at least three who have posted here on this thread). More importantly, the current build I am using
(13077 for me) works as intended when I do a fresh install and apply the 13077 build to this fresh install - in other words, this bug ONLY happens if an upgrade occurs. If, for example, I apply the current 'official' build (36098) to the upgrade, I get the
error. The version used for the upgrade is straight from the downloaded 'official' build when I tested to see if I got a different result from the 'mod' build. I get the error on both a Win03 Server and a WinXP dev box. Every time. No exceptions. Just so that
I do not add any confusion, ground zero for the build was DNN 3012 -upgraded to DNN 3013. Version 2.x was never part of the upgrade path.
Thanks for the responses.
