You probably need to register the .jpg, .gif and .jpeg on your website in IIS on the server you moved to. See this web page under

I had the same problem but when I registered it worked.
Some info on registering files with the aspnet_isapi.dll just change file type to add gif and jpg.

Adds script mappings
The Community Starter Kit stores all images in the database. In order for images to appear, the .gif, .jpg, and .jpeg file extensions must be mapped to the ASP.NET Framework. You can manually configure the script mappings by opening the Internet Services Manager,
opening the property sheet for the CommunityStarterKit virtual directory, clicking the Configuration button, and selecting the Mappings tab. The .gif, .jpg, and .jpeg extensions must be mapped to the same aspnet_isapi.dll as the .aspx extension.
