I was a devout VB coder for a long time. I used to get in many arguments about how silly it was to spend 2 weeks doing something in c++ that you could do in a day in VB. That said... I have been working in c# for 2 years now full time and it BLOWS away VB.
Syntax is much better Designed from the ground up to work with .NET framework, taking the best ideas of Java, C, C++, and yes even VB and combining them into one well designed easy to code new generation language. VB had to make to many compromises to "squeeze"
it into the .NET framework. VB is obsolete, c# is the future, make the transition now.. Try getting a job as a "vb" coder these days, I am a contractor, all positions are looking for c#
