Moving forward, at what point should I be handling this? My understanding is that MySQL dates are always stored in YYYY-MM-DD and this can't be changed. However, something somewhere is causing my dates to change to DD/MM/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY the moment they're
read pulled in from the database. I wonder what this would look like on a correctly working server/solution.. would it be read in as 'YYYY-MM-DD' by default?
I assume my solution should be to over-ride the default format in my webconfig or logic layer, and the best way to always ensure the later code receives the date in a specific format.
