Thanks again for responding. "#City" is the upper ddl...this is a three-part cascading: "State" ddl, "City" ddl, and finally "Provider" ddl which is keyed on int "Prov_Id". So when the user chooses their "City" that parameter is used to bind the choices
on "Prov_Id" ddl, where "City" = @City.
I believe my problem is twofold: 1) Using the popup to create a new item in the "Prov_id" list successfully appends the list--writes the new item to the database table. But the JQuery-as written-cannot cause the "Prov_Id" ddl to be re-binded at client because
of the parameter of "City". 2) the newly-created item in "Prov_Id" ddl may have a different "City" than what is currently chosen in the "City" ddl.
At this point, unless someone has a suggestion on how JQuery can re-bind my "Prov_Id" ddl using the "City" from the newly-created item, I'm going to use a "Notify" success notice to tell the user to reset the form that contains the three ddls.
Thanks again for the help.
