I am currently creating a page for validation of some form data and once validated, it would call SMTPMail with an OnClick Event. Currently, when I run it I receive the following error once the event is triggered.
RegisterForEventValidation can only be called during Render()
However, even though it goes to an error, the email is still processed and sent. When researching the error, numerous posts recommended to add the @Page Directive in the aspx page (below). This does resolve the error message on the processing of the page,
however, an email is never sent.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...I am still relatively new to using C# and ASP.NET and am learning as I go.
Thank you in advance!
