I also tried to find package.config folder, but I can not find it in my project, not sure why.
The package.config is not a folder, it's a config file like the web.config and also located at the root folder of your application.
Are there any other solutions to fix this problem? I thought this is an easy fix issue, not sure why it is so difficulty to fix which caused me think .net is not a good platform?
As far a I know, there is not other ways to fix this problem. And I think you need to pay attention to some dangerous operations, such as delete all or uninstall all.. when do such operations, it may cause some problems. Not only .NET framework, but some
other platforms have such problem too.
If it is hard to fix it, I may think to create the project from scratch again. But this issue is easy to encounter,
Sometimes create the project from scratch again is a solution.
I'd recommend you to use some source control tools(Git, SVN..) to control your project. Then you can commit your changes and revert to the old version which the project is working fine. And you can create a new branch when you want to add some new features
to your project. After the new feature passed the test, merge the branch to the main branch.
