http://www.asp.net/Forums/ShowPost.aspx?tabindex=1&PostID=594003 I posted this thread in another group. But i think it is more of security issue now. Basically it has come down to accessing registry from a COM dll. Its does not throw an error it simply returns
an empty string(path). Which then gives and error coz it cannot find the xml files on that path. The question would be, how would i allow IIS to access registry and read local files ?? Also there is an issue that webserver is not directly accessing the registry.
There is a COM dll which being called in ASP.NET which is accessing the registry. I have already tried impersonation and all kinds of configs to allow access to the webserver. Many Thanks if anyone could help Khizer
