Go into IIS under Administrative tools right click on the default website highlight NEW on the menu and select VIRTUAL DIRECTORY You will be asked to supply an alias - I entered PortalVBVS click NEXT you will be asked for the directory where the content is
located. Browse to where you installed the portal click next until you reach the FINISH button When you click FINISH your virtual directory will be created Make sure it's created as an application.
