There is a point during the installation where you are asked if you want IIS Support. Leave the box checked and a virtual directory will be created for you in IIS called PortalVBVS that points to the local directory where the starter kit was installed (default: C:\Program Files\ASP.NET Starter Kits\ASP.NET Portal (VBVS)\PortalVBVS). To get to the solution file, start VS and open project then point it to the default directory and find the sln file To view the application point your browser to http://localhost/PortalVBVS localhost = the default web site setup in IIS on your machine PortalVBVS = the virtual directory created during setup
