Thank you very much, Carlos (your English is excellent, by the way). I did try to convert my old application by opening my VS2008 project in VS2010, and saw the prompt that said VS2010 would upgrade my code to run under .NET 4. However, when I then tried
to run my upgraded app (Ctrl-F5 inside VS2010), it complained of a web.config error: "There is a duplicate 'system.web.extensions/scripting/scriptResourceHandler' section defined". To be perfectly honest, I don't understand these things very well, so I decided
to leave it there and start with a new Dynamic Data project in .NET 4; in any case, the conversion left my code unchanged (I'm not quite sure what it did, in fact!).
I have now seen an answer from Steve below that will hopefully solve my problem, so thanks again for replying!
