There is nothing "illegal" about websites hosting free e-books.If that had been the case, then www.rapidshare.com would have been declared an illegal site and it would not have had millions of users.Even I can keep my books in my website for my friends to share.There

Really? I just picked one of my (e-)books (that I puchased), and then on one of the first pages I read this:
All rights reserved. No part of this work may be reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronic or mechanical, including photocopying, recording, or by any information storage or retrieval system, without the prior written permission
of the copyright owner and the publisher
Which part of this sentence don't you understand? I'm certainly not a legal expert, but I do understand what this line means!
