Hi. I would appreciate very much your advise. I have a Windows 2000 Server with IIS 5. On that server is a web site created using asp.net and c#. I don’t have solution or project files. I just have what is deployed at the server (some files like aspx,
aspx.cs …etc and some folders like asp_code, asp_data, customcontrols, bin…etc). How to migrate all of this to the new platform( Windows Server 2012 R2) using Visual Studio Proffesional 2015? Are there some tools that would do it for me automatically? If I
have to do it manually what are the key tasks that I have to perform? What files to change and what settings to change. It is very frustrating working without .sln files. Life would be easier if contractor left solution/project files. Thanks in advance.
P.S. I'm beginner in this field and I would appriciate the long explanations.

Did you try simply opening the project within Visual Studio, then changing the target framework (project properties > build tab)?
