Well I have been an engineer professionally for 15 years+, I have worked on everything short of machine code, I stopped at assembly which is close enough. Currently I've started doing more architectural work, though I still code alot, I'm more into the high level design these days. Which is a big swing from where I once found unending fascination, which is the deep low level code of kernel debugging.
My specialties are UI design and implementation with a heavy focus on user experience. I'm well versed in graphics design and I got into programming to become a game engineer, and found myself in speech recognition and later business applications.
Now I try to give back little nuggets of wisdom I have gleened from engineers that mentored me along the rocky road of my career and try to help people with what I know.
