     Hey,

When I use VS2008 to edit a style sheet, the manage styles tool is only populated with editing a page and becomes blank when editing the actual style sheet. Does VS2008 populate the manage style tool when editing style sheets or have I a bad install or misconfigured VS2008.  Does anyone else see the Manage Styles tool populated when editing style sheets.

Sharepoint Designer (and I assume expression web)  populate the css styles and selected preview when editing the css style sheet. MS states it is the same code base.

Unfortunately SD has no source control and does not properly validate css and VS does.

    Thanks!

    Answer

VS has same code base for the designer, but not for HTML and CSS editors. Therefore CSS management tools are only supported in design view or when Source is synchronized to the designer. They are not supported in CSS files, sorry.

    Thanks

    Hey Thanks for answering,

Thats too bad.  Thought I could finally have an integrated solution for editing and managing css files with VS 2008.

    Oh well...
