This is my first post so let me tell you about my setup:

    Asp.NET 2.0 w/ AJAX extensions on Microsoft Server 2000

I am creating a new Intranet system for my company so all of my work is not visible to the public, but I will try and include links to screen shots when I can.

I am developing an event calendar using the standard built in control from asp.net. In the end, the calendar will highlight days that have events on them and when you click on those dates you will be able to view the DB listing to the right on the fly with AJAX. Administrators will be able to add events as well and etc... Everything is working fine but there seems to be some trouble with the calendar's title. On page load the calendar title is aligned to and smashed on the left side. When you click a date or do some event that causes an AJAX reload the calendar returns to normal spacing and alignment. The alignment and spacing do not reset via page load, when the calendar resides outside the updatepanel.

When the calendar is placed on its own page (without my masterpage and css) the calendar loads properly. I know that this error is caused by styling on the other elements in the page, but when I disabled the text-align properties in all the containing divs the calendar remained the same. I also tried modifying it directly on the page and in the code behind, using TitleStyle and so forth to no avail. I have done some research and found that the calendar control may not play so nice with styles that exist on the page, but I am stuck as to a possible resoltion.

I do not want to have the calendar on a separate page, nor do I want to do away with it and trade for drop down list based queries.Has anyone experienced a similar problem?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

no screenshots until I can find an image hosting service that my company does not block
