    Hi there,

Just upgraded from beta2 to the RTM-version of vs2008. I tried enabling the new "Change position to absolute for controls added using Toolbox..." in Tools - Options - HTML Designer - CSS Styling, but it's not working as I expected.

For standard ASP.Net controls like DropDownList or TextBox the designer inserts a style-attribute when the control is dragged from the toolbox, but this does not happen for my custom controls. Furthermore, Format - Position is grey for the custom controls so I cannot change positioning myself either. There is some magic going on here. Does the designer require something specific from the controls, like an attribute?

My custom controls typically either overrides RenderContents or are CompositeControls with added child controls.

    Regards,
    Stefan
