I'm looking for a forum Outlook 2003.I'm trying to find resources, keywords to help me research the Voting mechanism in outlook 2003. I would like to capture the responses in a SQL DB. I'm trying to devlope a workflow (approval or reject process) for a Self Registering website. In my company users need manager approval to see/access to certain system tools. The main page would be the users requesting the access and the site would generate an email to their manager.Their manager approves or rejects the request in the email. The response is captured some how in the SQL DB.

After the response is captured responses are written accordingly.

Anyone have any experience in this or ideas on where I should be looking, or I'm smoking crack and should use Sharepoint 2007 or my own webapp.

    Thanks

You can create a VSTO add-in

    http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/office/aa718674.aspx

Or you can do that in the old fashion way, building a COM add-in and register it

     http://outlookcode.com/

    skynyrd,

thanks for the reply, but I cannot use any add-on or add-in's.  I work in a very large corporate environement, and haviing someone to install a DLL or register a DLL would not be good.

I'm also looking at a SharePoint Survey, but I still need the abillity to caputer the results and store in my own SQL table.

    Thanks,

    Rwiethorn
