We are currently expanding our internal development department and are looking for a full-time ASP.NET 2.0 developer, with experience writing ASP.NET 2.0 webpage using VB.NET. Experience with Classic ASP is also required. As an internal systems developer you will design, implement, and maintain our hybrid Classic ASP / ASP.NET 2.0 Internal operations website used for billing, invoicing and contract management. In addition our goal is to move from Classic ASP pages to the ASP.NET 2.0 framework. Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills are essential as you will be working with many employees within our company on a global scale.
Responsibilities of an ASP.NET Developer:
- Design, modify, and develop existing and new additions to our internal operations system
- Be able to lead and work as part of a team of Software Engineers
- Provide assistance and support to employees using this internal system
- Work with product management and team members to identify functional and technical requirements
- Create and project plans with estimates and communicate project timeline changes to product management
- Makes use of development tools and components to produce usable applications and maintainable source code
- Fixes existing and newly discovered software defects
Requirements - ASP.NET Developer
Requirements for an ASP.NET Developer:
- 4+ years experience with ASP.NET design and coding using VB.Net / JavaScript
- Strong understanding of Microsoft development best practices
- Functional understanding of a SQL database structure using Microsoft SQL Server
- Excellent communication skills, oral & written
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- A focus on delivering high quality work
- Experience using the Microsoft ASP.NET AJAX Framework
- Must have a drive to learn and implement new technologies
