    Hi!

I saw different posts on the web about this subject but each time it s unresolved. Surprise

So, when I try to compile my solution with VS2005 I have this error message:

An error occurred loading a configuration file: Failed to start monitoring changes to 'location path' because the network BIOS command limit has been reached. For more information on this error, please refer to Microsoft knowledge base article 810886. Hosting on a UNC share is not supported for the Windows XP Platform

Then I did the changes mentionned in the KB810886, it does not fix the problem.

    Current configuration

    - The project in on a netword drive

    - The solution is stored/shared with Source Safe

    - Dev Env: VS2005, ASP.NET 2.0 + ATLAS

    Thanks for your help! Smile

    Vincent

    Answer

Generally projects on a network share are not supported since network location is not considered trusted in .NET. You have to use caspol.exe and evelate trust for network shares for VS to work correctly.

    Thanks
