Tech Lead

Qualifications:
1. 5-8 years experience working with software applications
2. 2-3 years experience as a technical leader or manager of a programming or testing team
3. Experience developing custom solutions using ASP, .Net, ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#.Net XML, X/HTML, Javascript, Java, EJB, JSP, PHP, for Web applications
4. Relational database experience (SQL Server and Oracle preferred)
5. Strong oral and written communication skills (English and Mandarin)
6. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
7. U.S. education or work experience for more than 2 years.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Participate in the design (TECH SPECS) and development of new features and components of web-based applications
2. Work with team leads to validate requirements, demonstrate prototypes, and perform impact analysis of new requirements and/or changes to the existing system
3. Assigns and reviews tasks of developers as needed
4. Coaches and mentors developers on technical issues
5. Communicates and addresses risks/issues (technical) associated with software development in a timely manner
6. Works with development team in coming up with work estimates.
7. Defines the phase deliverables and tracks milestones of a project
8. Coordinate with other areas of a project to ensure quality software is delivered on-schedule
9. Work with PM and team to define standards, guidelines and processes on software development activities
10. Work with PM to establish realistic schedule and DRIVE development team to keep the schedule on track
11. Proactively reports project risk and deliverable issues to PM for assistance as soon as possible
12. Provide periodic status reports on team activities to PM
13. Must be able to "jump in" and help with programming.

Education:
Bachelor in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related technical discipline is required.
